EVA material (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer) is a polymer widely used in multiple fields. Its chemical formula is (C2H4) x (C4H6O2) y, mainly composed of ethylene and vinyl acetate copolymer. Main application areas:
Photovoltaic industry: EVA is mainly used in the photovoltaic industry to encapsulate solar cells and form photovoltaic adhesive films. For example, Ates has applied for a patent for a non crosslinked white EVA film, which has low water permeability and can maintain high adhesion with glass even after 2000 hours of wet heat, ensuring the efficiency of component use.
Packaging material: EVA is used to make packaging films, gaskets, medical equipment, etc. Its flexibility and transparency make it widely used in the packaging industry.
Wire and cable: EVA is used for the insulation layer and sheath of wire and cable, providing good electrical performance and mechanical protection.
Building materials: In the field of construction, EVA is used to make pipes, gas pipes, civil building panels, etc.
Shoe material: EVA material is widely used in the sole and interior materials of mid to high end travel shoes, hiking shoes, slippers, etc., providing good elasticity and comfort.
Other applications: EVA is also used in hot melt adhesives, functional greenhouse films, toys, automotive and household appliance assembly, shoe making, carpet coating, and gold anti-corrosion coatings.
Preparation of raw materials and their characteristics
The raw materials for preparing EVA materials include EVA particles, polyethylene, titanium dioxide, crosslinking agents, hydrolysis inhibitors, silane, acid absorbers, acrylic esters, light stabilizers, and antioxidants. These ingredients endow EVA materials with excellent properties, such as low water permeability, high adhesion and aging resistance.
